The Committee

The education committee was formed to discuss and plan the social marketing campaign. The committee was used to find a marketing firm and has continued to exist to review materials and receive updates on the program as well as provide input and suggestions throughout the various stages of the development of the campaign.

Interviews with Denver-Area Low-Income Women

During the fall of 2008 Prevention First Colorado staff conducted 40 interview with low-income women. These interviews were conducted to further delve into the question of why do women not use contraceptives when they do not want to get pregnant. The data collected from these interviews helped further shape the social marketing campaign by understanding the barriers this population of women face.
